自上世纪中叶以来，科学家们一直是通过动物实验来初步评估新药的有效性和安全性，为后续的人体临床试验打下坚实基础的 。因此，动物实验始终是药物从研发走向临床的关键环节。
Since the mid-20th century, scientists have relied on animal experiments to preliminarily evaluate the efficacy and safety of new drugs, laying a solid
foundation for subsequent clinical trials in humans. Therefore, animal
experiments have always been a critical link in the transition of drugs from research to clinical application.
近年来，随着系统生物学、计算科学、信息学、材料科学和工程学的不断进步和深度融合，人工智能（ artificial intelligence，AI）、类器官（ organoids）、器官芯片（organ-on-a-chip）等药物研发的新途径方法（new approach methodologies, NAMs）应运而生。
In recent years, with the continuous advancements and deep integration of systems biology, computational science, informatics, materials science, and engineering, new approach methodologies (NAMs) in drug research, such as artificial intelligence (AI), organoids, and organ-on-a-chip, have emerged.
尽管 NAMs 的技术优势显著，但基于系统复杂性不足 、数据标准化缺失 、监管与行业适应滞后等现实问题的存在，NAMs 只能是动物实验的有益补充，仍无法全面替代动物实验。
Despite the significant technical advantages of NAMs, due to practical challenges such as insufficient system complexity, lack of data standardization, and lagging regulatory and industry adaptation, NAMs can only serve as a beneficial
supplement to animal testing but cannot fully replace it.
为使广大实验动物科技工作者能够深入探讨实验动物科技的发展前沿和 NAMs的最新成果，促进实验动物领域的科技创新与国际交流合作，定于 2026 年4月23日至26日 ，在北京隆重举办2026年北京第十二届实验动物科学国际论坛 。本次论坛的主题为 “AI 时代的实验动物科技 ” 。现将会议相关事宜通知如下：
To enable professionals in the field of laboratory animal science to explore the latest developments in this area and share new achievements in NAMs, promoting scientific and technological innovation and international exchange and cooperation, the 12th International Forum on Laboratory Animal Science of Beijing 2026, will be held from April 23 to 26, 2026, in Beijing. The theme of the forum is “ Laboratory Animal Science in the AI Era. ” Relevant information regarding the conference is hereby announced as follows:
